Poorly Designed Robots Logo

Born out of y2cl-Daily in 2016, when I was on a quest to post 1,000 comics in a single year (spoiler: I did it) I drew a handful of comics at work of just these ridiculous robots. Immediately I called them “Poorly Drawn Robots” but got yelled at by a co-worker who said I Shouldn’t be so down on my work, it was good! or something like that, I wasn’t listening.

That co-worker and I made plans to launch a webcomic called The Rejectables where I would draw some robots at random and he would write little jokes or something for them. After a little bit he wanted to design characters and make it more story based, which I was not wanting to do with this series. Mind you, the idea of a series of rejected robots in and office building is funny, it wasn’t what I wanted. I wanted to just draw stupid fucking robots. So that fell through.

Fast forward almost a decade and I decided I would just do it myself, I’ll draw ridiculous robots and see what comes up. So now I have a little sketch book and I’ll just draw whatever comes out and make a robot. It’s a lot of fun.

There’s an evil corporation that makes robot versions of everything for world domination…or maybe it’s a world where everything is a robot? Whatever works for you.
