While wanting to be a writer he became a bodyguard for a Qatari oil tycoon’s family
Not only wrote coe Monty Python, he played two characters, a doctor and a pepperpot.
He wrote for Doctor Who, eventually becoming a Scipt editor
He named Pink Floyd’s album The Divisiopn Bell in 1994 and played guitar on stage with them.
Was the first person to buy an Apple Macintosh in the UK.
Is one of only two non-python to recieve a writing credit on the series, the other being Neil Innes
He was left handed

How I got introduced to Douglas Adams
Playing the text game with my dad on the computer
Reading the books over an over that my dad gave me

Little history of Douglas Adams:
3/11/1952 – 5/11/2001
was 6 feet tall at the age of 12 (6’5″ as an adult)
Educated at Primrose Primary School.
Only student to received a 10/10 for creative writing from his writing master Frank Halford at Brentwood School
Short story “Suspense” was published in 1965 at 13 years old in the children’s comic Eagle.
In 2014 a poem written by Adams was discovered in a school cupboard that he wrote in January 1970

Got the idea while drunk in a field in Inssbruck, Austria in the early 1970’s while carrying a copy of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Europe.
Originally a BBC radion play in 1978
