PANEL 1
RED APPLE
*sigh* And so it begins: my life is about to meet its end at the maw of some uncaring giant.
PANEL 2
RED APPLE
He consumes me for what? Pleasure? Nourishment? What a world, in that I am considered of so little consequence that I can be destroyed, bite by bite and piece by piece, openly to be discarded and forgotten. Into eternity unmourned, I find myself fall.
PANEL 3
RED APPLE
Yes, I will be survived by my seeds. They will go uneaten, and perhaps they will grow into the most beautiful of trees... ...but will they know their progenitor? Will they have any inherent knowledge of their fathers' history, or the sacrifices made so that they could be released into their own? Who knows...
PANEL 4
RED APPLE
I only wish that those who find me see not a corpse, but one who lived. Who lived a life full of love, of heartache, of ambition, of triumphs and failures. Let them know I have a story to tell, despite having no breath left with which to tell it. Grant me that as I drift away............
PANEL 5
Kiwi, Green Apple, Red apple, Orange
ORANGE
Sweet, a body! Let's throw crud on it!

Guest Strip by Andrew Schnoor of The Elderly Apple

Elderly Apple
If you are reading Inanimate then you should know I have an affliction for Elderly Apple. The whole REASON behind this sub-comic was I saw what Andrew and EAG where doing over at Elderly Apple and wanted to create something similar. Where as Inanimate is not as imaginative as Elderly Apple, it is pretty much in honor of Elderly Apple.

Take this gem for instance:
Dragon Fly

Elderly Apple is like a walk back to a time when ideas could be anything and everything spewed imagination. It is more then a web-comic. It’s a source of inspiration within it’s self. I read this time travel idea machine once a week to remind myself that there still are people who let their inner imagination out.

Without Elderly Apple there would be no Inanimate. My proverbial hat is off to Andrew Schonrr and The Elderly Apple guy for all their hard work.

  1. Oh, look – the last scene is “Stand by me” with fruit! 🙂

Elderly Apple – the site does not lie! What it says at the top is true! 8)
